Liked the attentive staff at the front desk. Room was very comfortable, clean and well supplied. Liked having access to a computer while on a trip. The brunch on sunday morning was amazing. Setting was beautiful: the gardens around the hotel were lovely, but being next to the Beguinage was the best part.
We ate in the bar in the evening. Waiter not very attentive limited menu, menu not well explained.
a tired rundown dated 1970,s dump of an hotel
Excellent location, close to business, close to airport, close to dining... Better facilities than most European hotels, but more expensive that USA equivalents.
Breakfast could start 30 minutes earlier, to accommodate business needs.
Facilities next door to Faculty Club of Leuven University were excellent. Buffet breakfast was good value. Service was friendly, cheerful, helpful and thoroughly professional. I'd stay again.
Room v ery very noisy You hear people in roms aroud and above
I liked the quietness of the place as well as the location.
Although I believe it to be a genuine mistake, they did try to charge me two breakfasts. When I was sold the breakfast option, nobody asked how many guests are staying in my room, they apparently just automatically hit number two - which was incorrect.
The location close to where I had to be and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff
Staff was very helpful and hotel room size was good in European standards.
Our stay at the Begijnhof Hotel was very memorable and convenient. The staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and great. The premises were very clean and it was really relaxing to stay and have a drink outside. The breakfast was very good and the staff there very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and the rooms always clean. We definetly will go back to the Begijnhof Hotel if we ever go back to Leuven. Thanks alot.
I found it quiet comfortable and convenient, breakfast was good
Classy hotel in wonderful location next to 14th century Begijnhof and 10 min walk from centre of town. Reasonable value as the room was deeply discounted on the weekend.
I got an exceptional price through Booked.net this time. The hotel is usually a bit pricey, but this time it doesn't get any better than the deal I got. Finally, even internet access is now included in the price! Can't beat the location with regards to the business around Leuven.
Attractive contemporary design throughout – it’s in a very old charismatic building that’s been tastefully converted. Large well-spaced out room with all the facilities you need including lovely fluffy towels and bathrobe, cool toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, fully stocked mini-bar and very efficient heating. The internet was free and mega-fast – about 500-600 Kb/s – the images that I had tried to ftp the previous night which took about 45 minutes per 10 Mb file flew up in seconds, so I was very happy! I didn’t get a chance to check out the gardens as I was working on a job in the town that night, but they looked very appealing at a glance, and there is a good cozy bte modern bar and conservatory downstairs. Staff are friendly, smiley, helpful and efficient and I regret that I didn’t get time to check out the breakfast in the morning as I had too much work to do before I left! It’s only 20 minutes to Brussels airport (that was on a Saturday!), and while it’s a short way out of Leuven town centre the quiet historical surroundings come bring a calmness and serenity. I will definitely stay there again if I’m in the area, and would recommend it to anyone else.
Very friendly and helpful staffs in reception. Well within the charming historical area.of the town. Nice garden, which is so attractive to sit outside in sunny afternoon. Free internet and good breakfast..
Hello The location of your hotel was absolutely perfect. It is not too far away from the town centre, but far enough away to be away from the city noise. It is in a very peaceful location and with windows open the ducks are happy to be in that location too. It has the ambience of being in the countryside also. For as long as we need to,when we come to Leuven, we will stay in this hotel.
I could not say anything negative about the Begijnhof Congres Hotel.
